Eligibility Criteria for Income Tax Vacancy 2024
- Income Tax Inspector: The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institute. Additionally, the candidate must have a minimum of three years of experience in a similar field.
- Tax Assistant: The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institute.
- Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): The candidate must have passed 10th or equivalent from a recognized board.

The written exam for all the posts will have 4 sections, with a total of 200 marks. The duration of the exam is 2 hours. The sections include General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Numerical Aptitude, and English Comprehension. The questions will be of objective type with multiple choices.
The General Intelligence & Reasoning section will test the candidates’ logical and analytical abilities. The General Awareness section will cover current affairs, history, geography, and other topics related to India and the world. The Numerical Aptitude section will cover topics such as numerical calculations, algebra, geometry, and statistics. The English Comprehension section will test the candidates’ ability to understand and interpret the English language.
The candidates who qualify for the written exam will be called for a personal interview. The interview will carry a weightage of 100 marks. The interview panel will assess the candidate’s communication skills, personality, and knowledge related to the job profile.
