HP Election Result: The recently conducted Himachal Pradesh Legislative assembly election, held on 12 November 2022, has been the talk of the town. Himachal Pradesh minister and BJP MLA from Shimla, Suresh Bhardwaj, cast his vote from polling station 63/87 in the Shimla Assembly constituency. The Congress manifesto offered 300 units of free electricity and assured a ₹1,500 per month stipend to women aged between 18 and 60. Taking a leaf out of the Aam Aadmi Party’s book, Arvind Kejriwal’s Party, Congress hopes to make a dent in the state. The BJP manifesto, released by party president J P Nadda, promised to bring in a Uniform Civil Code and 33% reservation for women in government jobs and educational institutions. Nadda promised the creation of 8 lakh jobs, including government ones, bicycles for girl students in classes six to 12, and scooters for girls in colleges.

In a press conference, CEC Rajeev Kumar said that in the HP election “157 polling stations across the state are being managed solely by women staff.” This step is a significant achievement toward empowering women and providing them with equal opportunities.
