In Assam state Ration cards are known as an authorized document that has been issued by the Government authority for obtaining benefits under PDS. Before the launch of NFSA’2013 Assam was having three types of ration cards that use to come under Family Identity Cards (FIC) in Assam. These three types of ration card are –

  1. APL (Above Poverty Line)
  2. BPL (Below Poverty Line)
  3. AAY (Antodaya Anna Yojana) beneficiaries under PDS/TPDS.

  1. Candidates are liable to get ration on subsidized rates in a normal situation but in this lockdown situation ration cardholders are getting ration for free from the government authorized shops.
  2. The candidate is liable to get electricity on the subsidized rates.
  3. Candidates are also liable to get relief funds through state government in this pandemic condition of coronavirus outbreak.

Eligibility Criteria for Assam Ration Online Apply Registration 2024

This ration card also has some eligibility criteria which everyone needs to fill in Mandatory to get a ration card which are –

  1. Candidate should not have any ration card with him and with that, they should have a yearly income of less than 1 lakh rupees.
  2. The candidate is not liable to get duplicate ration cards in case of the loss of ration card in that case they need to make a fresh application for the ration card.
  3. The candidate is only liable to get enrolled in this ration card getting scheme after Marriage only where they need to fill the Marriage entry mandatorily.
  4. Candidates are also liable to get this ration card facility after the birth of a child where they need to mark case of the birth of a child.

Required Documents for Assam Ration Card 2024

To apply this ration card candidate need to have some documents mandatory which are-

  1. A detailed copy of the family members
  2. Copy of the birth certificates of the family members
  3. Certificate copy of the voter id card of the family members
  4. Copy of the tax pay and land revenue pay receipt is mandatory.
  5. Surrender of all Ration Card/Family Identity holding or non-availability certificate from the FCS&CA authority.
  6. Address proof of the candidate
  7. Pan card
  8. Driving license
  9. Bank passport book
  10. Post Office Passbook
  11. Electricity Bill

The application process can be done by the candidate online on the official portal of the Assam Government to get a ration card facility after which candidates can check their names on the new list after one week of time. This online facility has been started by the government by seeing the outbreak of coronavirus and seeing that so many people still don’t have a ration card facility and they are suffering to get even the basic necessities of life.
