BOI PO Syllabus 2024
Bank of India has announced the Bank of India PO Syllabus 2024 for the Probationary Officer (PO) exam that will be held in 2024. The selection process consists of three stages: Online Examination, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview. The final selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in all three stages.
The Bank of India PO Exam Pattern 2024 includes an online test that will be conducted in bilingual mode, i.e., English and Hindi. The English Descriptive Paper will be of qualifying nature, and there will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. One-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at a corrected score.
Candidates who aspire to clear the Bank of India PO exam should focus on all the sections mentioned in the syllabus and prepare accordingly. They should also work on their communication skills and general knowledge to clear the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds.
Exam Pattern
The online test will consist of 155 questions, and the maximum marks will be 200. The duration of the exam will be 180 minutes. The exam will be divided into five sections: English Language, Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, Data Analysis & Interpretation, and English Descriptive paper (Letter Writing & Essay). The Group Discussion will be conducted for the candidates selected through the online test at selected centers.
Syllabus
The Bank of India PO Syllabus mainly consists of five sections: Reasoning, Computer Aptitude, English Language, Data Analysis & Interpretation, and General/Economy/ Banking Awareness. The Reasoning section will cover topics like puzzles, seating arrangements, direction sense, and coding-decoding. The Computer Aptitude section will cover topics like networking software & hardware, history of computers, and computer shortcut keys. The English Language section will cover topics like reading comprehension, error detection, and vocabulary based questions. The Data Analysis & Interpretation section will cover topics like tabular graph, pie chart, and probability. The General/Economy/ Banking Awareness section will cover topics like banking reforms, regulatory bodies, and latest mergers and MOUs of banks and financial institutions.

Group Discussion round
In the Group Discussion round, candidates will be evaluated based on their communication skills, knowledge of the topic, and their ability to work in a team. The minimum qualified marks for the Group Discussion round are 40% for General/EWS candidates and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
Personal Interview
The Personal Interview round will consist of 60 marks, and candidates will be evaluated based on their academic background, work experience, and their ability to think critically. The minimum qualified marks for the Personal Interview round are 40% for General/EWS candidates and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
